Rushdi al-Kikhya, in God's Keeping

Syria has lost one of the great politicians of its first generation, Mr. Rushdi al-Kikhya, former Speaker of the Syrian Chamber of Deputies and leader of the People's Party, whom God took to His side in Cyprus two days ago, where he is being laid in his final resting place. May God have mercy on the great departed and give him a home in His wide gardens, and may He grant his family and loved ones patience and consolation. Indeed, to God we belong, and to Him we return.
