Privacy Policy

This website is published by the family of Dr. AbdulWahab Homad so that his books can be read freely, for research and remembrance. You do not need an account to read anything here, and we never ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
What we measure
To understand how the library is used, which books and chapters are read and where readers come from, we use Google Analytics 4. It records:
- the pages you view and roughly how long you spend on them;
- the website or search that brought you here;
- your approximate location (country and city), worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses;
- your type of device, browser, screen size and language.
We only look at these figures as totals, for example how many people read a chapter, or which countries they came from. We cannot tell who you are, and we do not try to.
Cookies
_gaand_ga_followed by a code: set by Google Analytics to recognize a browser that comes back. They last up to two years, and are only set if analytics is allowed (see below).homad_lang: remembers whether you chose English or Arabic, so the home page opens in your language next time. It lasts one year.
Your analytics choice itself is saved in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. This site uses no advertising cookies and shows no advertising.
Your choice
Visitors in Europe are asked before Google Analytics starts, and nothing is measured unless they accept. Anyone, anywhere, can change their choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page; declining stops Google Analytics on this site and removes its cookies. Google also offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on all websites: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics keeps this data for 14 months and then deletes it automatically.
Who else sees it
Google processes this data on our behalf as a service provider; its privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not sell, rent or share it with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
